The hall lantern LED is a landing indicator fixture using LED light sources to signal the arrival direction of the elevator car at each floor. Modern LED hall lanterns consume significantly less power than older incandescent or halogen units, offer longer service life (>50,000 hours), and provide brighter, more uniform illumination. They typically display an up or down arrow with an audible chime and may also show the car arrival via floor display. LED drivers must be rated for the temperature range of the hoistway environment and meet EMC standards.
