The car top inspection panel provides an emergency stop button, up/down run buttons, and an enable switch that transfers control from the main controller to the inspection mode. While in inspection mode, the car travels at reduced speed (typically ≤0.63 m/s per EN 81-20) and only moves when the run button is continuously held. This allows engineers to examine guide rails, door equipment, and overhead components safely.
