Landing door panels are the structural door leaves installed at each floor landing that form the primary hoistway enclosure. Each panel is hung from a hanger assembly that rides on a track above the opening, and is coupled to the car door operator when the car is at the landing. Panels are manufactured from steel, stainless steel, or glass-infilled frames and must comply with EN 81-58 fire resistance requirements where applicable.
