Door modernization typically addresses: replacement of worn or obsolete door operator mechanisms (contactor-switched to modern VFD-driven operators); installation of light curtains replacing older mechanical safety edges; fitting new door panels, tracks, sills, and gibs; integration of new door control boards with serial communication to the main controller; and upgrading to EN 81-20 compliant door contacts and interlocks.
