CE marking for elevators is governed by Directive 2014/33/EU, transposed in Turkey as the Asansör Yönetmeliği. The process requires the installer to follow one of the conformity assessment procedures (Modules A–H as defined in Annex IV of the Directive), involving a Notified Body for type examination, production quality assurance, or final inspection. The technical file must include design calculations, drawings, risk assessment, test reports, and the Declaration of Conformity (DoC). The CE mark is affixed to the data plate in the machine room or controller cabinet, accompanied by the Notified Body identification number. Harmonised standards (EN 81-20, EN 81-50, EN 81-73) provide presumption of conformity.
