The car operating panel frame (COP frame) is the structural housing mounted inside the elevator car that encloses and supports all car control components including floor call buttons, emergency controls, display, intercom, and key switches. Frames are typically fabricated from stainless steel or powder-coated steel and must comply with aesthetic requirements, accessibility standards (button height, Braille), and vandal-resistance ratings. The frame design also incorporates cable management for internal wiring.
