The Akar SMT 140AC-20 is a compact permanent magnet synchronous (PMSM) gearless traction machine designed for residential and small commercial elevator installations. Manufactured in Turkey, its direct-drive architecture delivers whisper-quiet operation, minimal maintenance and excellent energy efficiency. The slim motor profile makes it ideal for machine-room-less (MRL) and compact machine-room configurations. The Ø210 sheave provides smooth, balanced rope engagement across the full load range. Rated at 1000 kg and 1,00 m/s, it is compatible with VVVF inverter drives and complies with Turkish TS EN 81 and major international elevator safety standards.
